Born in Ocilla, Georgia, and raised in vibrant Miami, Florida, Johnny's passion for learning and exploration took flight during his incredible 21-year career with the U.S. Army. Imagine the fantastic stories he collected while traveling the globe, from the charming streets of Germany to the romantic landscapes of France and the breathtaking views of Switzerland – and beyond!

But that's not all! While stationed in Europe, Johnny's caring spirit led him to volunteer with U.S. Military Dependent Youth Associations after-school programs. His commitment didn't stop there! He also generously volunteered his time with U.S. Military/Foreign Military Dependent Youth Associations in bustling Seoul, South Korea. For over four decades, Johnny has been a guiding light for children, empowering them to reach for their dreams, always encouraging them to give their best and to live by the powerful motto: "Never Give Up!"

And guess what? After an equally impactful 21-year career dedicated to keeping children safe within the federal government, Johnny has embarked on a new and exciting adventure: sharing his wisdom and warmth through storytelling! Currently residing in the Dallas, Texas, area, he cherishes spending quality time with his beloved family, who are always eager to hear his captivating tales. Now, he's thrilled to share those inspiring stories with young readers everywhere through his children's book series, The Smarter Raven!
